    Job Description

    MASTECH DIGITAL provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking an APPLICATION PROGRAM MANAGER for our client in the CONSULTING domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth.     DURATION: 06+ Months Contract

    LOCATION: Bay Area, CA

    ROLE: APPLICATION PROGRAM MANAGER

    PRIMARY SKILL: PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

    ROLE DESCRIPTION: The APPLICATION PROGRAM MANAGER must have at least 5+ years of experience. For this role, you must have experience in or have done AR/ VR work.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage one or more projects from definition through final project delivery and support.

    • Build and maintain relationships with internal clients and subject-matter experts, independent software vendors and developers, and cross-functional team members to ensure a robust matching of opportunities with approaches, tools and resources.

    • Respond to new inquiries, initiate discovery sessions, and develop plans and proposals.

    • Work closely with Technical Program Management in driving all aspects of solutioning and production for pilot and implementation projects.

    • Plan, provide, manage and track all needed services required for a final usable VR Interactive experience including hardware, vendors, direction, editing, sound and specialized support.

    • Oversee QA process.

    • Use the team’s standard online tools and keep online project tracking and reports updated on a daily basis.

    • Work and communicate with a variety of business stakeholders who come from both technical and non-technical, interdisciplinary backgrounds.

    • Communicate frequently with key stakeholders on the status of projects.

    • Funnel learnings back to the development teams in a consistent and digestible manner to continuously improve products.

    • Identify and present relevant data on current product usage and problem areas to propose new opportunities to increase productivity, reduce complexity of toolsets, and reduce cost.

    • Understand the pipeline of technology options across Oculus and future XR technologies for years of Enterprise integration.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 5+ years of experience managing complex programs in large corporate environments.

    • 5+ years working on (internal or external) client-facing programs for digital transformation or emerging technology adoption

    • Experience managing external development work/outsourcing, including contract negotiation.

    • Ability to multi-task/manage multiple projects in various stages of production under tight timelines/deadlines.

    • Ability to work creatively and effectively in a demanding technical environment and with individuals from diverse backgrounds/points of view.

    • Working knowledge of industry-standard software.

    • Experience using agile project management methodology.

    • Approach challenges creatively and methodically, identify and resolve risks, problems and conflicts while working with team members (all levels), seeing them through to final resolution.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related business field

    EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent.
