    We are currently seeking a full-time Master Electrician to lead electrical technicians and oversee electrical operations in the Austin, TX area. This position involves performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance and electrical system operations while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

    Pay Rate

    $45.00 – $50.00/hour

    Position Summary

    The Master Electrician is responsible for electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and related services on roadway lighting, facility lighting, and electrical systems.

    Required Experience / Qualifications

    • Valid Texas Master Electrical License required
    • Experience with 480V and below 3-phase and single-phase electrical systems
    • Roadway lighting and traffic signal experience preferred but not required
    • Strong professionalism, work ethic, and leadership abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
    • Ability to work independently and supervise a team when needed
    • Supervisory experience preferred
    • Computer experience preferred
    • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; CDL is a plus
    • Ability to pass background screening and pre-employment testing
    • Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, and emergency response schedules

    Responsibilities

    • Perform electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance with minimal supervision
    • Maintain roadway illumination and facility electrical systems
    • Support interior and exterior electrical maintenance operations
    • Follow established safety procedures and company protocols
    • Perform preventive maintenance activities
    • Operate from elevated heights using bucket trucks
    • Complete work orders using handheld devices and maintenance software
    • Assist with retrofit projects and additional electrical work efforts
    • Communicate effectively with management, team members, and client representatives
    • Respond to emergency situations and on-call needs as required

    Schedule

    • Full-time day shift position
    • Some scheduled night work required
    • Emergency response availability required
    • Flexibility needed during snow and ice weather events
