Job Title: Master Electrician – Power Generation - Full-time Job Opportunity Location: Illinois & South Carolina
Role Overview: We are seeking a licensed Master Electrician to support large-scale power generation and electrification projects across commercial, industrial, municipal, and renewable energy sectors. This role ensures electrical compliance, safety, and successful project execution, while supporting the transition to cleaner and more efficient energy solutions. You will act as a subject matter expert and Electrical Qualified Agent, working closely with project teams, contractors, engineers, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs).
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all electrical work complies with state and local codes, safety standards, and regulations.
Serve as the Electrical Qualified Agent for medium and low-voltage systems.
Inspect installations, review designs, obtain permits, and maintain compliance documentation.
Support projects including power generation, EV charging infrastructure, marine electrification, load bank testing, and renewable energy systems.
Conduct site visits, safety audits, Job Safety Observations (JSOs), and assist in incident investigations.
Maintain open communication with stakeholders, contractors, engineers, and AHJs.
Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
Travel frequently across licensed and reciprocal states.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Master Electrician license in home state; willingness to obtain reciprocal licenses.
7–10+ years’ experience in electrical or related fields.
Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA regulations.
Experience working with general contractors and multi-trade environments.
Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
EVITP certification preferred (not mandatory).
