Job Description

• Must have experience setting up coil fed Progressive Dies that run in automatic punch presses.
• General knowledge of Smart packs or similar type press controls
• Work with automatic feeders (Roll feeders, servo feeders, etc.
• Install raw material into coil feeders using mechanical lifts.
• Install metal stamping dies into punch presses using die lifts.
• Make adjustments to press to produce parts to Quality Work Instructions (QWI) specifications.
• Operator is required to run two stampings presses.
• Operators run to required production schedules.
• Return dies to die rack or tool room for repair.
• Operators to clean and Sweep and mop as required during their shift

Qualifications

• Must have some high school or equivalent experience
• Must be able to understand simple blueprints and/or specifications.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Some QC and inspection experience using basic inspection tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Must be able to stand for all or most of a regular work shift
• Must have and wear protective gear designated for the department
• Must have the ability to read/write and understand both verbal and written work instructions, and customer specifications.
