    Job Description

    Summary:

    The Master Production Planner will work with Sourcing, Procurement, and Manufacturing of the Security Business to support material and production planning while considering current inventory, obsolescence, lead times, product life cycles and production capacity. Reporting to the SIOP & Demand Manager, the ideal candidate will be analytical, collaborative, and be able to balance priorities.

    This role is a hybrid role and requires presence within the office 3 days per week (Tue, Wed, Thu). The successful candidate must live within a commutable distance from Oak Creek, WI.

    RESPONSIBLIITIES:

    • Identify and implement system and process improvements within the supply chain to enable overall business process improvement.
    • Further develop existing forecast and supply programs to improve current days of inventory and cash cycle.
    • Improve forecasting tools and procedures through application of innovative ideas and projects.
    • Analyze inventory levels and product demands to determine reorder levels and safety stocks that will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs.
    • Drive, promote and develop positive communication with Marketing and Sales to improve forecast accuracy.
    • Develop long term vendor schedule based on history, forecasted seasonality and sales opportunities.
    • Determine optimal split of inventory within each warehouse in the distribution network – understanding the geographical fulfillment model.
    • Review and update forecast, production schedules and material requirements through SIOP process.
    • Support new product development and end of life process to minimize impact to overall supply chain health.
    • Coordinate and plan materials requirements for new product introductions.
    • Proactively review material supply and demand to determine push/pull actions appropriate to impact current procurement schedule and releases.
    • Assess impact to materials availability from customer sales opportunities that may be affecting demand for product over and above the plan.
    • Review material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels while working with Sourcing and Purchasing to meet customer requirements. Propose changes when needed.
    • Communicate to Key Stakeholders root cause of service misses and share recovery plan.
    • Assist in the resolution of MRP and planning discrepancies.
    • Work cooperatively to implement innovative inventory efficiency programs.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
    • 3 – 5 years of experience supporting global supply chain operations in a corporate environment. Experience in Supply Chain environments is required.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
    • Strong computer skills (Microsoft products; SAP, Oracle, or other ERP system experience preferred).
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize efforts.
