Master Plumber
Location: St. Louis, MO (based out of Lake St. Louis HQ; on-site)

Pro Outdoor, headquartered in Lake St. Louis , is hiring a Master Plumber to lead plumbing and irrigation system operations across the St. Louis region. This senior-level role focuses on outdoor water systems, troubleshooting, design work, installations, seasonal operations, and mentoring field technicians.
Because our work spans jurisdictions, the Master Plumber must be licensed in BOTH St. Louis County and the City of St. Louis and fully compliant with all associated plumbing codes and regulations.
Interpret plumbing, irrigation, and site plans
Select appropriate piping, valves, fittings, and backflow devices
Install underground piping, irrigation components, controllers, and sensors
Connect systems to water supply and perform pressure/flow testing
Conduct start-ups, shut-downs, and winterization
Troubleshoot leaks, breaks, clogs, pressure issues, valves, and controllers
Inspect systems for performance and water efficiency
Recommend upgrades and conservation improvements
Maintain service reports and as-built documentation
Prepare labor and material estimates
Train and oversee junior plumbers and irrigation technicians
Ensure adherence to plumbing codes, backflow standards, and water-use regulations
Coordinate with landscapers, electricians, site managers, and other trades
Maintain tools, inventory, and job readiness
Advise clients and internal teams on system maintenance and best practices
Licensed Master Plumber in St. Louis County
Licensed Master Plumber in the City of St. Louis (required for compliance and permitting)
Backflow Testing & Repair Certification
Blueprint and schematic reading proficiency
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, water-use rules, and backflow regulations
Experience with irrigation plumbing or outdoor water systems
Ability to supervise field teams and maintain high safety and quality standards
Certified Irrigation Contractor (CIC)
Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA)
Regular outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Frequent standing, kneeling, climbing, and field movement
Manual dexterity for plumbing and irrigation tools
Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs
Exposure to uneven terrain and outdoor jobsite conditions
