Masterprep Academy is a premier provider of after-school classes and tutoring services. We specialize in preparing students to score well on standardized tests (ACT, SAT, SSAT, PSAT, SAT Subject, ISEE, USABO, USNCO, AP Tests), but we also support student's academic progress by offering GPA Management and College Admission Counseling services.

Small class sizes! We cap our class size at 6 students in order to ensure individualized attention and assistance for each student.

Proprietary curriculum! We develop our own teaching materials for many of our courses, ensuring our instruction is keeping up with changes to local school district curriculum, as well as with changes to standardized test structure and content.

We currently have an opportunity open as a Teacher’s Assistant to assist in grading homework assignments, helping students with any assignment questions during study hall time, and managing the study hall. We are looking for a TA who is able to assist elementary - high school students in math topics up to Calculus, English, History, and Science. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and excited future educator to make a positive impact on students’ education. This is a Flexible, Part-Time Opportunity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Professional communication skills (both spoken and written)

Competent in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

JOB DUTIES:

Grade homework assignments and quizzes from teacher's classes

Knowledgable in math topics up to Calculus level

Assist in math, science, English, and history assignments

Assist students with their homework assignments

Offer motivation and encouragement to students to stay focused and on track with their work.

Monitor students in the study hall to ensure they are engaged in quiet and productive activities.

Set an example of professionalism and dedication to studying, which can influence students positively.
