    Job Description

    The Sr Payroll HRIS Analyst is a key member of the HR Operations/Technology Team at MasterBrand supporting Payroll infrastructure across HRIS and supporting systems. Under the direction of the Sr Manager-HR Ops, and in collaboration with the Payroll Manager, the Sr Payroll/Workday Systems HRIS Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, maintaining, and processing US and Canadian payroll program elements in support of company initiatives and organizational needs. As the Workday payroll subject matter expert, this role will be responsible for maintaining and configuring US and Canada Payroll and Payroll-related data in the Workday system. The Sr Analyst will need to be hands-on, detailed, analytical, and manage technical tasks with minimal supervision. This position assists with data integrity, regulatory reporting, payroll processes, testing of system changes, report writing, security, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. This role will be remote with occasional travel.

    YOUR ROLE:

    • Partner with the US and Canada Payroll team to identify and deliver systematic solutions for administering and assessing compensation programs, competitive analysis, program scenario modeling, reporting, and communicating compensation programs
    • Lead analyst resources for U.S. and Canada Workday Payroll
    • Lead day-to-day operational support for Payroll and ensure the systems health and sustainability
    • Partner with the Payroll Team to define Payroll Requirements including data, configuration, integration, and portal needs, then translate those into Technical Requirements
    • Collaborate with team to ensure timely and accurate end-to-end, on-cycle payroll processing for weekly and bi-weekly and off cycle payrolls for US and Canada
    • Duties will include optimizing the usage of our payroll reporting, understanding our data, designing payroll processes, and making recommendations based on Masterbrand's needs
    • Configuration of the Workday payroll system per business requirements and Workday standards
    • Keep track of technological advancements and trends in the field of Payroll by being an active member of the Workday Community network
    • Consult with Payroll Team to design, develop, and deliver reporting and analytics
    • Partner with Human Resources (HR), vendors, and associates to determine strategic needs, define functional/technical specifications, troubleshoot issues, and implement initiatives,
    • Implement all payroll changes to the Workday environment maximizing technological capabilities to reduce manual processes
    • Build project plans and deliver new functionality to key stakeholders
    • Develop and implement new processes and systems for efficient Payroll management
    • Perform payroll application upgrades, as well as provide training and technical support in delivering new or upgraded functionality
    • Optimize Workday payroll processes, integrate new software, and perform diagnostic tests, validation, communication to leadership
    • Coach payroll leadership team during design phases, offering options, risk, and downstream impacts related to Workday payroll decisions

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Computer Science, or a related field
      • Graduate degree preferred
    • 4+ years of experience with US and Canada Payroll, Time Tracking and Absence management in Workday. HCM, Security, and Report Writing will be add on
    • Excellent problem identification, analysis, and solving skills with ability to quickly react and adapt to changing priorities
    • High proficiency in making decisions by consistently proposing quality solutions and answers to issues by gathering extensive data, conducting research, and presenting a recommended solution to all parties involved
    • Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to balance stakeholder management with overall priorities
    • Ability to translate the technical requirements to business needs and vice versa
    • Workday Certifications preferred
