    Job Description

    The Human Resources Manager’s role is to focus on providing high quality and responsive HR services, partnering with ITW and MTS’s leadership and employees to support the accomplishment of business goals, mission, and core values.

    This is a highly visible role that incorporates many traditional HR functional responsibilities such as talent acquisition and employee relations, as well as more proactive activities that involve partnering with different areas of the business to address employee engagement, talent and organizational development, talent planning, managing change and policy development and implementation.

    _ ONSITE ROLE_

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    • Leads the talent acquisition and onboarding processes for regular and temporary employees.
    • In collaboration with hiring managers, develops recruitment strategies for open positions and manages internal and external postings and other search techniques to source diverse and qualified applicants.
    • Owner of early talent programs and developing adequate relationships with colleges, trade schools, and high schools.
    • Interviews and recommends candidates for hire.
    • Coordinates the job offer and pre-employment processes.
    • Maintains recordkeeping requirements for the Affirmative Action Plan.
    • Coaches and counsels’ managers and employees on a wide variety of work-related activities, policies, and procedures such as employee relations, talent planning and management, career development, process improvement, performance management, compensation and benefits, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and recruiting.
    • Partners with managers to proactively identify people issues and provide tailored solutions to meet business goals.
    • Assess departmental employee engagement levels and assist in the development of action plans to ensure a positive, engaging, and supportive workplace.
    • Assists with the administration, communication, and continued development of ITW and MTS’s annual performance appraisal process and talent reviews.
    • Works closely with ITW and the HR team to ensure consistency in the interpretation, communication, application and administration of HR policies and procedures.
    • Assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that comply with federal and state laws and are consistent with ITW and MTS’s values and business goals.
    • Utilizes computer technology to streamline process improvements and delivery of HR services.
    • Functions as project manager coordinating special Human Resource initiatives as needed.

    Education, Knowledge & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 8 years’ HR Generalist experience. Postgraduate degree and SPHR certification desired.
    • A significant depth of knowledge and experience in the following HR functional areas: recruiting, performance management, diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, interpreting and applying employment laws and policies, employee and leadership engagement and development, process improvement, and compensation and benefits.
    • Strong computer skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Office tools and social media. Workday, Dayforce and SmartRecruiters experience desired.
