    POSITION & RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW:

    We are seeking a multifaceted video production expert to join our team, working specifically on original YouTube content. As our Video Editor/Producer, you will produce and edit engaging and creative ads and videos that capture the attention of our target audience and increase engagement with the Masterworks platform. The candidate should be proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro and comfortable working within tight deadlines.

    This role will report directly to our Social Media Manager on our Marketing team and will often collaborate with our SVP of Content and Communications.

    Projects include:

    Original Youtube Content (weekly) (Shoot, Edit, Format)

    Monthly Investor Webinar (Shoot/Edit/Stream)

    _Facebook Ads and  other social media videos (weekly) (Shoot, Edit, Format) _

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Edit high-quality video content for YouTube channels, including but not limited to vlogs, tutorials, interviews, and other video formats.
    • Create short video ads for other social platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
    • Collaborate with the creative team to develop and execute innovative video concepts and ideas.
    • Use visual effects, music, sound effects, and color correction to enhance the video's quality, messaging, and call to action.
    • Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos according to brand specifications.
    • Ensure timely delivery of video content in accordance with project deadlines.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 2+ years of related experience working in video editing
    • Experience working in Youtube content production is a must
    • Proficiency in Photoshop and professional video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite/Premiere Pro Video Editing Software)
    • Strong familiarity operating professional video equipment and cameras 
    • Experience working with sound effects, color correction, titles, B-Rolls, and cutting techniques to make effective videos. 
    • Demonstrated knowledge of basic to advanced editing principles and techniques.
    • Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects is a plus.

     

    MEASUREMENTS OF SUCCESS IN THE FIRST 90 DAYS:

    1. Complete understanding of our video archive and prior editing techniques
    2. Provide production-ready video content to the marketing team on a daily basis
    3. Assist with the ideation and creation of new video ideas to optimize YouTube growth

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be eligible to work in the US - no exceptions.
    • Must be able to work from our NYC office 5 days a week

    HOW DOES MASTERWORKS THINK ABOUT COMPENSATION?

    The compensation range for the role is $65K-$80k. The advertised pay scale does not promise a particular wage for any specific employee.

    Our ranges are broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may depend on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive salaries outside of the posted ranges.
