    Job Title: 6-12 Teacher

    Job Summary: A 6-12 teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing instructional activities to students in grades 6 through 12. They create a supportive and engaging learning environment, manage classroom behavior, and work collaboratively with other educators to provide a well-rounded education.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Curriculum Development: Design and develop lesson plans and curriculum materials in alignment with state or national standards. Adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
    2. Instruction: Deliver engaging and effective instruction in the assigned subject area, ensuring that students acquire the knowledge and skills specified in the curriculum.
    3. Assessment: Assess student progress through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their growth.
    4. Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment. Manage student behavior and implement discipline when necessary, while also promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
    5. Differentiation: Modify instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom. Support students with special needs and provide enrichment opportunities for advanced learners.
    6. Parent and Guardian Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and addressing concerns or questions.
    7. Professional Development: Stay current with educational best practices and subject-specific knowledge. Attend professional development opportunities and engage in ongoing learning.
    8. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administrators to foster a cohesive and supportive educational community. Attend staff meetings and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
    9. Technology Integration: Utilize technology as a tool for instruction, including online resources, educational software, and digital platforms for communication and assessment.
    10. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data. Submit required reports and documentation in a timely manner.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (Master's degree for some positions).
    • Teaching certification or licensure, as required by the state or educational institution.
    • Strong knowledge of the subject area being taught.
