  • Responsibilities

    The Material Handler is responsible for supporting both internal and external customers through accurate receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipment of materials. This role includes operating material handling equipment and performing functions such as receiving, line delivery, and shipping within an assigned operations facility.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Note: Duties are not all-inclusive; other responsibilities may be assigned.

    • Efficiently locate and pull materials/supplies as listed on production or sales orders.
    • Stock assigned production areas to maintain inventory levels.
    • Accurately verify parts and quantities; complete bills of lading (BOLs) for receiving and shipping.
    • Operate all material handling equipment including, but not limited to: stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, combi, lancer, and tugger.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures and 6S standards.
    • Adhere to safe work practices during the operation of equipment and in daily tasks.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Previous experience with material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, tugger).
    • Experience in inventory management within a warehouse or manufacturing setting, or an evaluated equivalent.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Six (6) months of relevant work experience.
    • Ability to become forklift certified.
    • Comfortable adapting to a fast-paced and changing environment.
    • Familiarity with warehouse technology and electronics.
    • Experience with shipment confirmation processes.

    • Problem Solving: Routine work requiring the ability to follow instructions and standard processes.

    Working Conditions

    • Physical Demands:
    • Frequent: Standing, walking, sitting, reaching, hearing, talking, visual focus, typing.
    • Occasional: Climbing, driving, bending/kneeling, fine/manual dexterity, repetitive upper extremity motion, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.
    • Non-Physical Demands:
    • Occasional: Analysis, reasoning, interpretation, reading, writing, and sustained mental activity (e.g., problem solving, composing reports).
    • Environmental Demands:
    • Occasional: Working alone, frequent task changes, dust, temperature extremes, loud noises, and tedious/exacting work.
    • Work Schedule:
    • Routine shift hours with infrequent overtime, weekends, or shift changes.
    • Demands/Deadlines:
    • Occasional stress due to cyclical workload or intermittent deadlines.
