    Job Description

    Responsibilities:
    The Materials Management Specialist performs non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity, using operational precedents that are not fully applicable, including assignments that are typically parts of broader assignments. This analyst receives technical advice from Project Technical/Program Manager. This position may be assisted by lower level logistics personnel and have frequent contact with professionals and others within the establishment, and performs one or a combination of such typical duties such as:

    • Asset Management: Automated Inventory Tracking System (AITS) Encompasses Personal Property Management with the use of accountability, disposition of Government-owned, or borrowed personal property, and inventory of personal property issued by the Federal Government.
    • Coordinate the calibration of all test equipment with the FAA’s contracted calibration Team.
    • Barcoding and asset tracking

    • Logistics: FAA Logistics and Inventory System (LIS) which entails property Exchange and Repair, the use of project material management system, utilization screening and disposition, issue and receipt of equipment.
    • Security: Trusted Agent within the Office of Security for the purpose of initiating the request for background investigation and FAA badging for contractor personnel within the corporation.
    • Shipping: Coordination with NEXCOM Program Office of rack build requirements, shopping prices with vendors for national/international transportation and shipping requirements to support customers’ requests.
    • Vehicle/Fleet Management: Manage 15 vehicle fleet as required
    • Purchasing: Shop vendor prices for materials related to rack build and other projects as they occur. Implement and track purchase orders and minor contracts
    • Reporting/Analysis: Provide activity reports weekly and quarterly to the NEXCOM Program Office and corporate HQ
    • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by Technical/Project Manage

    • Typical work days from Monday to Thursday, 6 AM - 4:30 PM.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's Degree preferred)
    • Good physical condition with ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs for short distances
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems
    • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities
    • Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented
    • Willingness to work in a team environment and travel as needed
    • Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
    • Associate’s degree or 2-year training/certificate and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
    • SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE:
      • Willing to work in a team environment with occasional travel
      • In good physical condition
      • Able to interact with executive level customers and receive direction from multiple managers • Ability to travel
