  • Responsibilities

    The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring 100% material availability to support production, service, and customer delivery requirements while maintaining disciplined inventory control and adherence to plant KPI's. This role is a proactive, execution-focused position that requires daily coordination with suppliers, internal teams, and logistics partners to prevent shortages, reduce inventory risk, and maintain stable operations.

    Duties:

    • Analyze customer demand and production forecasts
    • Execute daily MRP reviews to validate requirements, planned orders, DOH targets, and exceptions
    • Develop and maintain material planning schedules and ensure alignment with production plans
    • Review and adjust planning parameters such as lead times, order quantities, and min/max levels
    • Maintain accurate data in ERP system (Driven by Data Wellness Scoring in KPI's)
    • Release material schedules to suppliers with accuracy and timeliness
    • Issue clear, daily communication to suppliers regarding schedules, changes, shortages, and priorities.
    • Track supplier performance and follow up on late, short, or quality-related issues
    • Maintain a formal escalation process for past dues, quality holds, capacity concerns, and delivery risks
    • Coordinate inbound logistics and expedite materials when needed
    • Maintain inventory levels within target DOH, safety stock, and financial objectives
    • Participate in daily/weekly inventory health reviews (DOH, slow moving, excess & obsolete risk
    • Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, Engineering, and SCM to ensure alignment on demand, capacity, scrap trends, and engineering changes
    • Responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives that identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain through optimized inventory, reduced waste, and enhanced supplier performance.
