  • Responsibilities

    Responsibility for the flat products material application, capacity planning/execution, planned stock requirements, and timely execution of material routings in pursuit of OTIF.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Planning, scheduling, and inventory management key discipline

    • Manage assigned product line order book to best achieve execution of customer requirements

    • Assign priority and order book realignment upon shifts in demand or supply

    • Analyzes daily production data to monitor performance and identify areas for improvements in delivery performance

    • Generate master production schedule to establish sequence and lead time of product line assigned to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer requirements

    • Maintain Available-to-Promise for assigned product line

    • Ensure that work center capacity throughout production process supports MPS

    • Approve new customer requirements and change order requirements

    • Provide feedback and risk analysis for management approval prior to order acceptance

    • Forecast and ensure adequate supply of Raw Material is secured

    • Initiate and perform ongoing updates of production milestones according to work order specifications, customer demand, established priorities, and capacity

    • Work to continuously improve department planning processes, spread best practices, and collaborate with other locations on improving the supply planning process for the Industrial Division

    • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.

    • Accurate and timely incorporation of in-process manufacturing change notices

    • Provide detail and feedback on customer order status to Customer Service

    • Interact with other departments (including Manufacturing, Engineering, Outside Processing, Quality, and Sales)

  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree in related field OR minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years related experience.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Able to interpret written and oral instructions.
    • Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, including excel - i.e. build basic formulas; present data to leadership.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain/Business Management
    • SAP experience - working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
    • APICS Certification - i.e. CPIM, etc.
    • Familiar with ERP systems.
    • Experience in a manufacturing setting
    • Time/Scheduling Software experience - i.e. Kronos
    • Continuous improvement background
    • High energy - self-starter
    • Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

    This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
