This is a specialized position, and our ideal applicant has considerable experience ensuring the plan can happen by securing and managing materials within a manufacturing environment.     Job Summary:

    The Materials Control Planner ensures timely availability of raw materials and components to support production schedules. This role focuses on MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory accuracy, material flow, and coordination with procurement and production teams to prevent shortages or excess stock.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for raw materials and components using inventory management best practices.
    • Utilize MRP systems to plan material requirements and ensure alignment with production schedules.
    • Coordinate material requisitions and transfers while ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
    • Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain inventory integrity.
    • Collaborate with procurement for timely order placement and delivery of materials.
    • Track and manage purchase orders, including expediting as needed to avoid schedule disruptions.
    • Work closely with the Production Planner to ensure materials are available and production schedules can be executed without delays.
    • Maintain documentation for material transactions, inventory adjustments, and purchase order tracking.
    • Identify and implement process improvements for material flow and inventory accuracy.
    • Other duties as assigned to ensure efficient flow of materials for production to operate efficiently.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
    • 1–3 years of experience in materials planning or inventory control in a manufacturing setting.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management tools.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
