Materials Data Management, Inc. is looking to hire a bright individual to work at a growing materials engineering data/information management consulting business in Indianapolis, IN. Our company aids engineering organizations in managing and deploying materials information management systems. We work closely with our clients who represent the top in their industries of: aerospace, defense, automotive, electronics, energy, nuclear, material production, medical devices, gas, online publishing, research, and government.

As a team member you will:

• Work with industry leaders in many sectors
• Coordinate and carry out customer projects; organizing their material information through the use of software applications
• Provide direct customer demonstrations, training, and support
• Assist as a technical resource in defining customer projects
• Communicate regularly with internal and external project team members
• Travel to customer sites (up to 25% travel)

Required:

• B.S. or higher degree in an engineering discipline
• Excellent computer skills (MS Excel Advanced User)
• Capacity for quickly mastering new software
• Ability to work well with customers with varying degrees of computer savvy
• Excellent presentation and written technical communication skills
• Availability to travel frequently to customers across the U.S. (as travel restrictions subside)
• You must be a US citizen (for our work with US defense and other export restricted information)
• Strong work ethic, drive, and ability to work both independently and on teams

Strong candidates will also have:

• Industry experience working with customers in the industries we serve
• 5 years related experience
• Experience with materials information management systems (ex: Granta MI or MSC Material Center)
• Engineering experience in batteries, additive manufacturing, electronics, composites, polymers, and/or metals
• Experience in project management
• Additional software experience (Python, xml, html, vba, CAD, CAE, Ansys, etc.)
• Materials engineering & material testing experience
• Some database experience

The candidate will be working from our office in Indianapolis, IN except when traveling for business.
