    2\. Logistics & Inventory Management

    • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, and warehouse management.
    • Implement processes to improve inventory accuracy, reduce carrying costs, and minimize downtime due to material shortages.
    • Partner with carriers and suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective delivery performance.

    3\. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Supervise and develop a team of planners, schedulers, and logistics staff.
    • Collaborate closely with operations, procurement, engineering, and quality to align production schedules with business objectives.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving.

    4\. ERP & Systems Management

    • Utilize ERP systems (SAP and AS400) to manage materials flow, production orders, and reporting accuracy.
    • Identify and implement system improvements to streamline processes and enhance data visibility.
    • Ensure system data integrity for BOMs, part numbers, and supplier information.

    5\. Continuous Improvement & KPIs

    • Track and analyze key performance indicators (OTD, inventory turns, freight cost, schedule attainment).
    • Lead process improvement projects to optimize supply chain performance, reduce waste, and enhance delivery reliability.
    • Support lean manufacturing initiatives to strengthen plant-wide operational efficiency.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    Experience:

    • 10+ years of progressive experience in Materials Management, Logistics, or Production Scheduling, preferably in automotive manufacturing.

    Technical & Leadership Skills:

    • Deep understanding of lean manufacturing and JIT methodologies.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
    • Experience managing supplier relationships and logistics vendors.

    Work Environment:

    • On-site leadership role within a manufacturing plant environment.
    • Frequent interaction with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
    • Fast-paced setting with tight deadlines and high customer responsiveness.
