    Materials Team Lead - 2nd Shift

    To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

    · Ensures all Team Members understand and follow PPE and plant safety procedures.

    · Ensures all incidents or accidents are reported to the Materials Supervisor and Materials Manager and documented in AIC on the same day of occurrence.

    · Serves as backup for all positions within the department, as needed.

    · Coordinates and communicates with the Material Superintendent regarding personnel shortages or overtime needs to ensure proper coverage.

    · Communicates overtime and coverage needs to the team as required.

    · Ensures all team members are at their workstations at the start of each shift.

    · Assists in determining priorities and allocating resources to ensure work is completed efficiently.

    · Maintains 6S standards and oversees assigned 6S responsibilities.

    · Provides short-term coverage for team members as needed to maintain workflow.

    This role is an hourly position within our team leader reports to the Material Supervisor.

    Required experience:

    · High School diploma or equivalent

    · Previous manufacturing experiences a plus.

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS: 

    • Understanding and knowledge of the process involved in developing a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). 

    • Familiarity with the _Improving School Readiness for Head Start Act of 2007, _Head Start and Early Head Start Programs, OHS Monitoring Protocols and processes,  and knowledge of _Head Start Program Performance Standards _and Other Regulations. 

    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. 

    • Sustained concentration and attention to detail and accuracy. 

    • Ability to prioritize and manage work load and deadlines. 

    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. 

    • Risk management skills (e.g., identification/ analysis). 

    • Providing training and technical consulting assistance to an audience with varying skill levels.
