BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring a knowledgeable, patient, and enthusiastic After-School Math Instructor/Tutor to lead an Academic Success: Math Enrichment program for elementary-aged students in Baltimore County.

The program is designed to provide students with additional support in mathematics while helping them build stronger academic skills, confidence, and a positive attitude toward learning.

Position Details

• Part-time, after-school position
• Afternoon after-school hours
• 1.5-hour sessions
• $37.50 per session ($25 per hour)
• Focus on math enrichment and academic support
• Curriculum and program materials provided
• In-person position in Baltimore County
• No lesson planning required

Program Goals

The Academic Success: Math Enrichment program focuses on helping students:

• Strengthen foundational math skills
• Build confidence in mathematics

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging and age-appropriate math enrichment sessions
• Provide academic support and tutoring to elementary students
• Help students understand and practice key mathematical concepts
• Use hands-on activities, practice exercises, and engaging learning methods
• Adapt instruction to different student skill levels
• Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
• Encourage students to ask questions and build confidence
• Supervise groups of approximately 15–25 students
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of elementary-level mathematics
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred but not required
• Comfortable working with students in grades K–5

• Dependable and punctual
• Reliable transportation to the program location
• Must successfully complete the required Baltimore County Public Schools background check and fingerprinting process
