The position starts as part time, with some flexibility to work out the specific schedule of work hours and the possibility that over time it may become a full time position. There are potential opportunities for advancement. Please note that this position is for in-person work only; please do not apply if you are not currently able to commute to our center in Herndon, VA USA.
WE PROVIDE:
Consistent and flexible scheduling. Tutors do not have to deal with the hassle and expense of traveling to other people's homes and can expect a predictable weekly pay. Initial pay rate is based on experience and educational background, with periodic performance-based pay raises.
Paid training, optional 401k matching by company and profit-sharing bonus*
All instruction is done at our center, with no homework to grade or reports to fill out after teaching. Also, tutors are not responsible for communicating with parents (our office staff handles that). We want our tutors to focus on what they do best - teaching!
A good learning environment, with all the teaching resources you'll need in our center - just bring your skills and love of teaching. Tutoring is done one-on-one or in a small group (max 3 students).
Students who are eager to learn from a great teacher like you!
THE TUTOR WE ARE LOOKING FOR WILL HAVE:

Science backgound: A background in one or more of the sciences - physics, chemistry, biology or other science - is a plus.
A passion for teaching and working with young people.
Previous experience teaching or tutoring is valued.
