This rewarding job opportunity is excellent for Current Teachers, Substitute Teachers, Retired Teachers, Strong Mathematicians, and Education major students.

We’re looking for 1-2 part-time math Instructors for MathPlus Learning Centers. You will work with students of all ages with broad math levels, including Algebra, Trig, Geometry, and possibly Calculus. If you have exceptional math skills, have experience teaching math, enjoy working with students, and are committed to helping students succeed, we would love to meet you!

Part-time in-person instructors are needed at both the Chadds Ford, PA, and Hockessin, DE centers for 3 – 6 hours a week at $35-45/hr.

Required qualifications:

• Four-year college degree or higher in math, science, engineering, or related field
• Exceptional Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry skill
• Dependable, on-time, and organized
• Enjoys teaching and can motivate students
• Energetic, friendly, and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous teaching experience or experience working with students
• Strong Calculus skill

All applicants must:

• Be available to work on the center hours listed below
• Pass a written Algebra to Pre-Calc MathPlus Test at the center without the use of a calculator (can take up to 2 hours)
• Pass a background check

MathPlus Learning Center is a year-round tutoring and test prep organization that has been in business for over 18 years with centers in Hockessin, Delaware, and Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. MathPlus offers a personalized math enrichment program for students in grades 1 to 12. Our learning center is a welcoming environment staffed with supportive managers and fellow instructors. Center Hours:

Hockessin, Delaware Center: Saturdays and Sundays 10:30 - 12:30, Thursdays 6:00 to 7:30.

Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania Center: Sundays 4:30 – 6:00, Mondays and Tuesdays 4:30 - 7:30.
