Job Description
Medium firm growing rapidly and in need of Associate Attorneys in the area of criminal defense. Candidate for each must have the ability to handle their own docket of cases with occasional direct supervision. There candidate should possess a minimum of 2-10 years experience as Texas practitioner in preparing pleadings, attending hearings and completing work in both criminal defense and appeals. Duties will include filing appearance, obtaining and evaluating discovery, negotiating pleas and trials in misdemeanor and felony cases.
Candidate should possess strong organizational skills, be methodical, punctual, presentable, articulate and have strong literacy skills. Firm compensates by production and there typically a 20-25 case docket. Candidate will require training on firm's management techniques and software and compliance with firm's protocols.
