    2nd shift Hours: 3:15pm - 11:45pm

    Summary:

    The Manufacturing Supervisor will provide leadership and supervision to all 2nd shift manufacturing operations working collaboratively with the entire operations team including department managers, supervisors, and associates. The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations for their area of responsibility. The Manufacturing Supervisor provides expertise and support in all areas of responsibility to ensure the operation meets customer expectations as well as other key performance metrics with a keen focus on continuous improvement driven by metrics. They will support the development and implementation of initiatives to improve safety, quality, on-time delivery, and productivity while driving down cost within the operation.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Supervise 2nd shift Manufacturing employees.

    • Oversee employee training and certification schedule that provides flexibility and drives productivity.

    • Evaluate each work center to ensure maximum efficiency.

    • Enforce safety policies and procedures (both in-house and regulatory).

    • Engage employees to promote a proactive safety culture.

    • Ensure all products meet the Quality Standards.

    • Maintain open lines of communication between employees and management.

    • Ensure all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly.

    • Meet quality, quantity and safety standards and meet the production schedule.

    • Work with internal customers as needed.

    • Work with other Operations Management personnel to effectively write process documentation.

    • Define and drive standardized work throughout the operation

    • Ensures that issues regarding new/existing products are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

    • Support continuous improvement teams to investigate and resolve process issues as well as cost savings initiatives throughout the operation.

    • Develops and deploys clearly defined action plans to improve key performance indicators.

    Quality Control & Delivery Metrics

    • On-Time Delivery for Custom and Stock Product streams.

    • Scrap Rate for all Finished products.

    • Total Work In Process

    • Work Center Efficiency / Labor Efficiency

    • Throughput (FG Receipts)

    Qualification Requirements:

    • AS degree or 5 years’ experience working in production

    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    • Experience and working knowledge of ERP systems, as well as PC applications (Word, Excel etc.)

    • Positive employee relations skills; ability to direct, coach, support, and delegate and maintain morale

    • Possess a sense of urgency required to work in a deadline driven environment

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of management and operations.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in the Textile industry

    • Experience manufacturing custom products
