The Creative and Merchandising Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the overall objectives of the Creative Director and the Director of Merchandising, working with us at every step as we take products from concept to launch. In addition to working with Creative and Merchandising, this is an excellent opportunity to work cross-departmentally with our marketing, digital, manufacturing and product development teams. Responsibilities will be wide ranging and varied, with frequent opportunities to engage and work with leaders at Matouk. You must be: -a positive, creative and motivated individual -organized and capable of multitasking, without losing sight of the big picture or missing important deadline -comfortable working independently, taking ownership of essential projects -proactive in finding solutions and offering ideas -willing to bring your voice to the table yet unafraid to ask for help when needed -flexible and eager to work on jobs big and small Main Duties & Responsibilities: General -Identify opportunities to optimize and improve site merchandising and photography assets -Assist the Director of Merchandising in building out and maintaining working documents used for all product launches & product life cycle management including checking product information, dimensions, web & catalog proofing, signage and any other collateral -Responsible for ensuring product information, copy and images are up to date, that correct assets are in place, and that we are using best practices to showcase our products. This will include B2B (digital and printed) and B2C collateral including our consumer facing website. -Participate in concept and design meetings: you will often be the point person for the transition of information from design to product development to assure that active developments moves forward efficiently and correctly. -Offer input as requested on product assortment strategy and participate in weekly PD meetings. -Stay on the pulse of emerging industry trends to maintain Matouk leadership among the competitive landscape. -Create comprehensive market analysis including pricing, style, and key messaging information. -Other responsibilities as needed Photography and Visual Merchandising -Assist Creative, Merchandising and Marketing teams in maintaining visual assets across all channels, ensuring that they are consistent, seasonal and relevant. -Responsible for submitting, tracking and receiving product for all showroom setups and photography shoots to ensure all product is on time and accounted for -Support creative team in production planning, pre-production, including tracking product requests and shipment, crew selection and scheduling, location selection and development of schedules. -Assist creative team on set during photography and video production. -Document all shots and ensure that photography goals are met -Responsible for post production logistics (return of product to factory, return of equipment and props, or vendor payment, etc.) -Document and track retouching notes to post-production team and see all imagery through to final approvals. -Oversee silo and swatch photography (using outside vendor) -Responsible for being on location for photo and video shoots, showroom set ups and special events. Qualification Requirements: -Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field. A minimum of 1 year of related experience in luxury home furnishings preferred -Deep interest and passion for design (particularly interior design) and luxury products -Interested in luxury websites and their functionality -Solid knowledge of industry, trends, competition, platforms and market -Excellent written and verbal communication etiquette -Computer literacy and digital knowledge -Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and time management skills -Must be willing and able to travel as required for photoshoots or other job responsibilities (approx 20% of time, mainly NYC)
