The position of Sales and Business Development Intern will provide the below administrative and project-based support to the Sales and Business Development team.
This is a paid internship.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Sales and Business Development Intern will actively support the Sales and Business Development team in achieving sales, marketing, and business development goals. This position will be required to manage projects in a timely and organized manner. These projects may include:
Projects:
• Review and provide recommendations for digital advertising and promotion.
• Updating databases.
• Assisting in the execution of mass mailer projects, including marketing campaigns for OmniPro and other Matrix products.
• Assisting in the planning and implementation of a nurturing campaign for OmniPro related to surface mining operations.
Reporting:
• Event ROI.
• Marketing campaign results.
• Sales cycles.
Marketing Lead and Customer Information:
• Assisting in the creation, organization, and management of lead and customer lists
• Lead follow-up communications and observing customer presentations
• Database maintenance
Tradeshow & Event Coordination:
• Assisting in the organization and management of inventory for all tradeshow and sales-related items in Newburgh
• Review, print, collate, and manage presentations and marketing promotional materials
Administrative tasks:
• Running errands for essential pickups
• Drafting of internal and external digital communications
• Database creation and maintenance
• Review, print, collate, and manage presentation and marketing promotional materials
• Assist with the coordination of company and customer meetings and meals
• Filing and reviewing expense statements with attention to detail
• Gathering supplies for events
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an emphasis towards Business
• Must have excellent application skills (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Typing, etc.)
• Professional written and oral communication skills are necessary
• Self-Starter
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work and complete tasks with limited supervision
