    **Description:
    Seeking an entry-level Civil/Structural Engineering professional with 0-1 years of related experience. This position performs assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Work is directed and checked on a task basis by a more experienced Engineer.

    Specifications:

    • Four year ABET accredited BSCE degree
    • EIT preferred
    • Basic Structural design knowledge with experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit
    • Experience and/or interest in the design of structural steel and foundation systems for buildings and equipment
    • Industrial, Food and Chemical/Refining experience preferred
    • Experience with structural engineering analysis design tools preferred
    • 3D structural modeling experience a plus
    • Surveying and construction cost estimating experience a plus
    • Ability to travel

    Physical Requirements:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear.
    • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
    • This position must also be able to perform industrial field work which may include hazardous locations, ladders, and stairs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Works in a safe manner at all times. Adheres to both Matrix and client established safety standards when appropriate.
    • Perform design and engineering functions in accordance with accepted practices and company standards.
    • Perform design calculations related to tasks assigned.
    • Prepare project scopes of work, preliminary design concepts, and cost estimates for projects.
    • Assist in gathering field data and preparing project designs.
    • Participate as a team member, contributing ideas and solutions
    • Prepare scopes of work, specifications, cost estimates, and other necessary documents for projects.
    • Prepare project correspondence as required.
    • Maintain positive client relationships on projects assigned.
    • Have the ability to grow into a role of leading projects through design, coordination and delivery

    We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications, ranging from $66,000 to $86,000 annually. The final salary will be determined based on various factors including candidate's experience and qualifications.
