    Description:

    Matrix is looking to add an experienced HVAC/Plumbing Project Engineer to our team in Westminster, CO. This position requires an active Professional Engineering certification. The ideal candidate will be in a leadership role and be responsible for HVAC technical quality, sales and marketing, and overall department development. This position will also interact heavily with our clients and requires strong written and oral communication skills. This is a great opportunity to build a team.

    Specifications:

    Required experience, skills, and abilities:

    • Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university

    • Active Professional Engineering Certification

    • Minimum six (6) years of experience in Commercial or Industrial HVAC and Plumbing design consulting

    • Knowledge of ASHRAE code for comfort cooling, commercial and/or industrial ventilation, and dust collection

    • Prior experience in a team leader or project leader position

    • Ability to travel up to 10% per calendar year

    • Must possess a valid and active driver's license

    • Technical report writing

    • Demonstrated leadership ability

    Preferred experience, skills, and abilities:

    • Engineering Sales
    • Estimating
    • AutoCAD experience
    • 3D Modeling experience
    • Revit experience a plus

    Physical Requirements:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
    • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
    • This position must also be able to perform industrial field work which may include hazardous locations, ladders, and stairs.

    We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications, ranging from $80,000 to $104,000 annually. The final salary will be determined based on various factors including candidate's experience and qualification.
