THE OPPORTUNITY: 

Mattel, Inc. is looking for a Set Builder to join the Trade Show Services team.  The Set Builder will work with a best-in-class team to bring Mattel brands to life at various shows and Mattel offices around the country.  This team allows consumers, collectors, retail partners to experience Mattel in life-size ways.  This role will sit in our headquarters office in El Segundo, CA.

WHAT YOUR IMPACT WILL BE: 

• Build props, scenery, and display items from wood, metal, and plastic using a variety of tools
• Trained in using table saws, radial arm saws, routers, staple guns, and a variety of hand tools
• Work on campus-wide projects and assist in the execution of off-site trade shows and events
• Take direction from Lead Set Builder on priority projects, budgeting, and workflow
• Work closely with production assistants to deliver the project, on schedule

Qualifications

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: 

•  3+ years’ experience in carpentry, building and working with tools

• Experience working with various materials

• Detail-oriented and follows safety protocols

• Collaborative team player

• Passion for building and creating

• Experience in a corporate environment a plus

• Flexibility to work as needed, overtime and odd hours will be required
