    Job Description

    The Opportunity:

    As a Sr IT Project Manager, candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of IT projects and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Candidate will work closely with senior leadership, IT teams and business stakeholders to define program objectives, oversee project execution and facilitate change management processes. Candidate’s strategic vision and leadership will drive the successful delivery of IT solutions that support Mattel’s business goals.

    What Your Impact Will Be:

    • Develop and implement program management strategies that align with the company’s strategic goals and operational objectives.
    • Deliver large scale enterprise strategic initiatives over $500K on time and within budget.
    • Lead cross functional project teams, managing project timelines, budgets and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Facilitate collaboration between IT and business units to ensure their projects meet business needs and expectations including running SAFe PI Planning and Scrum Teams as a Scrum Master.
    • Oversee risk management and quality assurance processes, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions for risk mitigation.
    • Manage stakeholder communication, providing regular updates on program status, milestones and changes.
    • Drive continuous improvement in IT program management practices, incorporating best practices and lessons learned into future planning.
    • Manage Financials for projects led which include maintaining budgets through Coupa, generating monthly and quarterly forecasts, entering monthly accruals and helping GTO Finance team with reconciliation activities.
    • Work closely with project sponsors, stakeholders, cross functional teams to develop scope, deliverables, resources, planning and scheduling for new and existing initiatives
    • In the additional role of RTE (Release Train Engineer) coach the ART (Application Release Train) and facilitate collaboration - apply a combination of lean and SAFe practices into the workflow for continuous delivery.
    • Manage the ART flow of value, or steps used to create value for the project
    • Responsible for guiding teams in an ART to complete Program Increment (PI) planning and execution.
    • Serve as a liaison between product management, development and operations teams
      • Facilitate Pre PI and PI Planning Events
      • Monitor progress throughout the PI, eliminate or escalate impediments
      • Encourage teams within the ART to collaborate on certain tasks to meet goals
      • Help the ART manage and mitigate risks, such as budget and productivity issues
      • Facilitate the inspect and adapt events – report metrics on performance for the PI
      • Align with RTEs from other ARTs and STE on LST objectives
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Minimum of 10 years experience in IT project or program management, with a proven track record of successful IT program delivery, preferably with e-Commerce and Toy industry experience
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, ability to motivate, persuade and guide cross functional teams.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives and stakeholders.
    • In-depth knowledge of program and project management methodologies, e.g., PMI, Agile, Scum) and IT governance frameworks, e.g., ITIL
    • Change Management experience and organizational transformation
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to make data-driven decisions
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software including MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Miro, Monday
    • Track and monitor Program Iteration Metrics
    • Experience in managing Financials/Project Budgets in $3-$10M range
    • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
