THE OPPORTUNITY:
Mattel, Inc. is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join our Global Digital Gaming team, based at our global headquarters in El Segundo, CA. This position will support all strategy, planning, execution and coordination related to the marketing of our current and upcoming licensed and self-published titles on behalf of the Mattel’s 300+ brand portfolio. The role will support Mattel’s business objectives and align cross-functional stakeholders to ensure delivery of high-quality marketing initiatives.
As a marketing manager, your main priority will be to develop cohesive marketing and communication strategies across all channels and touchpoints, partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to manage day-to-day execution and evaluate marketing plans. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starting, creative individual with a passion to deliver best-in-class gaming experiences to players worldwide.
WHAT YOUR IMPACT WILL BE:
• Responsible for product branding, positioning, and overall marketing strategy for Mattel’s self-published and licensed portfolio working with cross-functional teams, partners and agencies
• Own go-to-market and lifecycle marketing plans for new titles and major game updates developing integrated strategies across user acquisition/media, PR, brand, influencers, digital marketing and social media
• Develop KPI targets across all marketing campaigns including brand and performance initiatives in order to maximize ROI
• Write marketing and creative briefs in line with marketing strategy to maintain consistency across all initiatives
• Drive marketing strategy from the design and creative process to the management of campaigns and promotions, analyzing and optimizing to maximize marketing goals
• Regularly present and report to leadership and stakeholders on marketing strategies, plans and results
• Deliver ongoing product marketing analysis, making recommendations to continually refine marketing strategies across social media, user acquisition/media, PR, brand marketing, influencers and digital marketing
Qualifications
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
• 6+ years of relevant experience in owning go-to market and lifecycle marketing for mobile or console gaming
• Driven marketer with strong experience ideating and executing marketing plans coordinating across cross functional teams and agencies
• Ability to build relationships, manage stakeholders, and articulate vision and direction
• Background in defining and evaluating ROI of digital marketing initiatives
• Track record of leading and executing innovative marketing programs
• Experience working with agencies and vendors to manage communication, budgets and hitting ROI goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and multitasking across multiple brands and initiatives
