    Job Description

    The Opportunity:

    Mattel Inc is looking for a Principal Solutions Architect who is highly motivated and energetic to join our Logistics Technology Team. This individual will be responsible for creating, designing, and implementing distribution solutions for our business partners. This individual will also have a key role in Mattel’s Supply Chain transformation and will focus on Warehousing and Logistics.

    What Your Impact Will Be:

    • Develop and design the overall WMS solution architecture, including defining system requirements, workflows, and integration points. Ensure the architecture aligns with the Mattel’s business objectives and industry best practices.
    • Work closely with internal and external teams to integrate the WMS solution with existing enterprise systems, such as OMS, Small Parcel Solution and other relevant systems. Identify integration points, develop integration strategies, and oversee the implementation.
    • Lead the implementation of the WMS solution by coordinating with development teams, conducting system configuration, and overseeing testing and quality assurance activities. Ensure adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and vendors, to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure alignment between business requirements and the WMS solution. Facilitate effective communication and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Effectively communicate designs/solutions in multiple forums and to various audiences including technology and business executive
    • Serves as a business-facing liaison for Supply Chain Execution functions. Develop and maintain business partnerships to support the enhancement and global delivery of Logistics IT solutions. Ensure quality delivery of IT projects and smooth transition to production support.
    • Maintain effective knowledge of Supply Chain best practices, focusing Logistics Execution capabilities, as well as thorough awareness of trends and developments of emerging technologies, evaluating all for viability and benefit to organization.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, supply chain or equivalent years of experience.

    • 15 years related experience in Supply Chain technology/Logistics/Toy industry

    • 10+ years of experience in Blue Yonder (Red Prairie/JDA) WMS implementations including hands on functional solutions or application configuration experience.

    • Familiarity with the Blue Yonder WMS platform and its configuration capabilities is essential.

    • Strong SQL, Mocha scripting and reporting platform experience strongly preferred.

    • Good understanding of supply chain processes, warehouse operations, and logistics management

    • Proven experience conducting design sessions with the business and demonstrated skill in translating functional needs and technical capabilities into solutions to meet the business needs including gap identification and solution recommendations using industry best practices and packaged solution configurations.

    • Understanding of various modern technology platforms that support supply chain distribution and fulfillment, ideally in the B2B and D2C CPG, fashion, retail industries.

    • Possesses excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills (written and verbal).

    • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

    • The annual base salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $170,000 **This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
