    Job Description

    The Opportunity:

    Our Global Licensing Acquisition & Strategic Partnership team seeks a Senior Analyst in El Segundo who will partner with the hiring Senior Manager to continue to refresh and expand licenses in our vehicles portfolio, including both Hot Wheels and Matchbox brands. Playing a vital role in the procurement of new licensors and renewal process with existing licensors, ensuring they align with business needs for Mattel Vehicle Brands and negotiating license agreements, contract extensions, and addendums. This role needs to be able to establish internal and external relationships in order to deliver best-in-class partnerships.

    What Your Impact Will Be:

    • Actively interface and participate as necessary in brand team meetings to ensure full understanding of product lines, to communicate contractual requirements and status of licenses, provide input in product schedules and roll-out, and offer strategic opportunities or solutions to challenges.
    • Maintain and circulate departmental related reports and other internal communication on a regular basis.
    • Negotiate license agreements, contract extensions and addendums for vehicles (i.e., Hot Wheels, Matchbox, and Power Wheels) licenses, while interfacing with various internal resources (e.g.: marketing, finance, legal, royalty accounting).
    • Assist in evaluation of new opportunities and make recommendations for potential licenses that are aligned with the brand teams’ current strategies and objectives.
    • Facilitate requests for information, such as asset acquisition, forecast request and sales projections.
    • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Must be extremely detail orientated and organized and is capable of working on and managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
    • Flexible team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish strong working relationships with internal and external partners at all levels, including senior management across the company.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
    • At least 3 years’ experience in consumer products or brand licensing.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills and is proficient in negotiating/executing license agreements and reviewing P&L forecasts

    PREFERRED

    • Product development knowledge and experience.
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and PowerPoint .

    The annual base salary range for this position is between $98,400 and $123,000.
    **This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
