    Job Description

    THE OPPORTUNITY: 

    Mattel is currently looking for a Replenishment Planning Analyst to act as a key member of the Inventory Management team, responsible for optimizing inventory to meet customer requirements and financial targets. The position works very closely with Sales, Marketing & Demand Planning to maintain allocation flow plans and make recommendations on strategies and inventory decisions. Each planner will manage multiple brands and will be responsible for maintaining a customer allocation plan and committing inventory to sales orders with the goal of meeting customer requirements and company financial objectives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and gain exposure to many different areas within Mattel, including Sales, Sales Forecasting, Supply Planning, Direct Import, Finance, Distribution & Logistics, Operations and others.

    WHAT YOUR IMPACT WILL BE: 

    • Maintain and manage monthly item level allocation plans for all assigned brands.
    • Take ownership of critical inventory, working daily with sales and demand planning to chase, match, and ship orders.
    • Responsible for reviewing daily inventory levels, committing inventory to sales orders within the allocation flow plan.
    • Accountable for maintaining time sensitive inventory safety stock levels in support of approved customer requirements (e.g. ADs, POG, Prepacks, Pallets)
    • Reviews demand forecasts and provides analysis and recommendations for adjustments to allocation flow plans to maximize sales and minimize carryover inventory.
    • Maintain replenishment order fill metrics and prepare weekly order fill reports.
    • Drive all strategic decisions needed to execute your business (e.g. Air Ship, shipping direction change, expediting from port to DC, capacity swap at plant)

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: 

    • 2-3 years professional experience, preferably within planning, allocation, or replenishment in a retail or CPG environment
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
    • Can communicate clearly and with confidence
    • Ability to interface with all levels of management
    • Ability to handle multiple projects in addition to managing 250+ SKU count.
    • A flexible team player; willing to work outside of normal responsibilities to achieve desired results; customer driven.
    • Previous experience with inventory management methodologies and/or allocation principles is a plus
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in all other Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to quickly gain proficiency in new/multiple supply chain systems
    • Experience in consumer products, licensing and/or entertainment preferred
