    Job Description

    The HR Generalist works with Matter employees at various levels to provide human resources support. The Human Resources Generalist will directly assist the HR Manager with recruitment & selection, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and other HR processes. This role is also responsible for assisting with the development, implementation and administration of HR policies and programs to support the culture and business objectives of Matter Family Office. As the HR Generalist, you are a top-notch process manager, maintaining excellent communication in the execution of HR-related work such as:

    • Recruiting & Hiring – Support the Hiring Manager in reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, scheduling, creating interview materials, checking references, and tracking the candidate's status in the hiring process. Assisting the Hiring Manager in preparing the Hiring Recommendation, Offer Letter and Employment Agreement.

    • Employee Onboarding – scheduling employee onboarding training sessions, maintain training materials with subject matter expert input, research resources and tools for a more efficient process

    • Workplace & Safety Policies – Assist with development, implementation and administration of policies

    • Benefits administration – Assist with research, answer employee questions, correspond with providers

    • Payroll – processing, compensation adjustments and communication, payroll system maintenance and update, compliance reporting/audits

    • Performance review template maintenance and reporting, research program options and efficiencies of the Performance Review process

    • Management of other employee benefits - Cell phone stipend management, PTO management, parking & Fitness Room access management, process employee benefits changes

    • Support HR leadership team – HR research, project support, and champion HR initiatives

    Qualifications

    • You have a BA or BS degree with exceptional academic performance from a challenging four-year institution or equivalent work experience.
    • Three or more years of experience in a Human Resource related field is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of employment law, firm policy and procedures
    • Excellent working knowledge of Benefits and Recruiting
