Come grow with us! Maverick Dental Laboratories LLC, a full-service dental laboratory, serving a national clientele is seeking a full-time Controller due to corporate growth.
The Controller will work under the direct supervision of the CFO, while working closely with members of the accounting team and team members of other departments.
Position Functions include, but are not limited to:
· Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports
· Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
· Prepare monthly accrual entries and adjustments
· Maintain accounts using SAP and proprietary industry software
· Maintain system of accounting controls and procedures
· Fulfill inquiries from the Ownership, CFO and other Supervisors regarding financial results or special reporting requests
· Generate monthly reporting to customer groups, sales representatives and department managers
· Monitor and analyze accounting department processes; develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining controls and accuracy; develop new SOP’s as needed
· Manage accounts payable and ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately
· Manage accounts receivable and ensure deposits are posted timely, statements are accurate and distributed timely, and collection processes conform to company guidelines
· Assist in defining and maintaining departmental and organizational KPIs; track departmental productivity
· Maintain a cash forecast and report monthly
· Generate monthly and quarterly commissions, bonuses and rebate reports
· Prepare bank reconciliations and adjustments
· Work with direct reports to establish goals and objectives, monitor progress and address performance issues
· Support CFO with special projects and workflow process improvements
· Generate product cost analysis
Qualifications:
· BA/BS in Accounting
· Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in financial accounting and reporting
· Experience with General ledger and ERP systems
· Extensive experience working with Excel and other MS Office products
· Ability to multi-task working independently and as a member of a team; extremely detail oriented
· Experience in manufacturing environment is a plus
