Maxana is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer with Network security experience to join our growing Cybersecurity team. In this role, we’re looking for an individual who is passionate about Cybersecurity. This is a great opportunity for someone to be part of the building Cybersecurity program from the ground up with a vision to build Cyber resilient organizations. This role is a mix of Network security, Cloud security, and supporting Security Operations efforts. You will have a broad latitude to work independently while coordinating and interacting with a broad group of bright and energetic people throughout the company.

Responsibilities

Work under the direction of the CISO to execute Cybersecurity strategies with tactical plans to meet the cybersecurity objectives of the organization Primarily responsible for network security, data security and vulnerability management for Software Products and Corporate technology stack. Lead network security for cloud solutions, including automation to support cloud expansion. Responsible for evaluation, implementation, configuration, and management of the following security solutions: a. AWS Network Security b. Firewall c. Web Applications Firewall d. IPS/IDS e. Secure and manage East-West & North-South traffic. f. VPN g. DNS & DNSEC management h. CASB/ SASE solutions i. Web URL filtering j. DLP (Data leak prevention) solution k. Encryptions management (PKI, SSL, SSH etc.) l. Corporate network m. LAN, WAN and oversee Wi-fi configuration. n. Voice Solution Ensure timely patching updating of security definitions, configurations, and policies for all above-listed solutions. Reduce time to detect and time to remediate by driving automation and applying threat intelligence to prioritize the effort. Build standard operating procedures & documentation. Lead effort for network segmentation, network security for Zero Trust Network Access, and automation strategy for network security solutions Investigating intrusion and security events, collecting incident responses, and carrying out forensic investigations Provides 24x7 on-call support on rotation for escalated security incidents. Talents & expertise

Skills: Hands-on experience and subject matter expertise on the listed technology solutions and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Solid understanding of Cybersecurity areas such as Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence, Cloud Security, IAM, Incident response and monitoring. Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth, and common security elements Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. The ability to automate using Terraform, Python, JSON would be great plus. Detailed-oriented, problem-solving, and willing to learn new tools and security areas. Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and writing skills. Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment. Self-motivated and directed, strong time management and organizational skills.

Qualifications

5+ years of core experience in Network Security and Cloud Security.

Degree in Computer science or Cyber security or equivalent industry experience.

Must be Certified in cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure at minimum, along with Cyber security certification such as CIISP, CISM, CEH, etc. Certification in Firewall and Network technologies would be excellent plus.
