JOB TITLE: Java/Spring Developer II
JOB LOCATION: 100% Remote
DURATION : 4+ months. (might extend a couple more months)

• Work as part of team to deliver on enterprise class software that provides centralized management for the Cloud Foundation product
• Collaborate with stakeholders across different functional component teams on requirements and respond with deliverables in agile methodology for frequent releases. (Agile/Scrum)
• Work closely with project team members (architects, Product Management, Functional QA, System Test), and coordinate all aspects of the projects including core product integrations.
• Proven ability to handle multiple, complex technical problems and have the flexibility to work in a very dynamic environment.
Requirements
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science and minimum of 6+ years of software development experience is required
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java programming (preferably JDK 1.8 and newer) & Spring Framework is required.
• Working knowledge of Networking concepts such as Switches vs. Routers, SDN, VLAN, VXLAN, Fabric vs. Overlay Networks, SDN, BGP, ECMP, NAT, Firewall
• Working knowledge of Python for test/test script development
• Spring Boot, Spring Beans, Dependency Injection, Inversion of Control, etc.
• Spring/Hibernate for ORM
• Database table design using SQL
• Microservice Development using REST, not SOA, not Web Services
• Ability to communicate, discuss, document and present, design and technical ideas to a team of highly skilled engineers. Drive good software design patterns for consistency, code quality and supportability.
• Excellent presentation, interaction and communication skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional organizations.
• Working knowledge of Linux

• Working knowledge of HTML, Javascript, Angular, Node.js, TypeScript
• Working knowledge of Spring Cloud
• Working knowledge of Docker
• Working knowledge of K8S
• Working knowledge of Istio/Tanzu, i.e., service mesh
• Working knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Envoy
• Experience with VMware SDK and APIs
• Experience with VMware suite of products from a usage point of view
