Job Description

In business for over 40 years, Maxxima is an established LED lighting and electrical supply brand in the consumer home and transportation space. We’re in search of a Sourcing and Product Manager to support our consumer home division, MaxximaStyle.

This role is pivotal in how we source new and innovative lighting and electrical solutions to stay competitive, deliver products in anticipation of customers’ wants and needs, and develop even better products based on customer feedback. You’ll need to immerse yourself in learning everything possible about consumer purchasing patterns and analyze market trends to be successful in this role.

YOU’LL ALSO:

• Collaborate with current overseas manufacturing suppliers and identify new sources of supply mainly from China
• Conduct ongoing research and analysis of existing products to ensure gaps are filled and product offering remains ahead of technology, market conditions, and consumer trends
• Oversee the workflow of projects and product lifecycle from start to finish
• Collaborate internally ensuring streamlined product workflows and communications with marketing, engineering, and customer service
• Assist with maintaining healthy inventory levels to maximize order fulfillment, minimize backorders, and make informed recommendations on purchase levels to leadership as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, or Business
• 7+ years of experience in purchasing/sourcing in the Tools and Hardware / Lighting and Electrical or similar categories
• Proven success leading, maximizing on, and building external business relationships
• Self-motivated to work both independently and as a team
• Strong customer centricity with a sense of urgency and high level of accountability
• Take directives through completion with quick exchanges of information and follow up
• Excellent prioritization and time management aptitude, as well as very strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentations skills
• Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of or experience purchasing from Asia based suppliers
