POSITION DESCRIPTION:
A Sales Representative is responsible for sales functions of Mayco products. The position entails speaking with customers, entering orders, determining the cost of specialty items (with the assistance of management), and documenting all sales calls. This position will be able to discuss and sell all of Mayco’s product lines.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, REQUIRED SKILLS:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree
Minimum two (2) years sales experience
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point & Publisher
Ability to multi-task and self-manage
Good math skills
Strong attention to detail
Solid analytical skills highly preferred
Experience in distributor sales, technical sales, and/or construction sales a plus (not required)
AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY:
Develop expertise in all of Mayco’s products
Manage existing account relationships though regular, daily communication and interactions
o Some in person customer visits may be required
o Occasional overnight travel may be required
Sell products and take orders via phone
Timely administration of orders
o Entered in system and communicated to production within same business day as receipt
o Timely, effective communication with customers regarding production lead times or changes in material availability within same business day
Effective management of account needs
o RMA/Credit processing
o Change orders
o Shipping needs/question
Prospect and develop new business opportunities/customers for all products
o Minimum 15% of weekly activities to include calls, emails, and quotes
Coordinate, manage and in some cases, attend, trade shows
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand, walk or sit approximately eight (8) hours/day
Ability to bend and stoop
Ability to drive a car and travel
