Responsibilities: • Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome • Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings • Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence • Preside over paralegals, administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings and completing client projects • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required • Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a law firm environment • Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred • Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role • Prior experience in Criminal Jury trial cases for a minimum of 3 years. • Must have significant jury trial experience • Must have some professional writing samples. • Looking for someone who will be a part of our team on a long-term basis.
