Job Summary

We are seeking an Operating Room Circulating Nurse. A circulator nurse provides a safe environment and nursing care in the operating room. This nurse provides updates to the surgical team and patient’s caretakers during their elective procedure and will be in close communication with the pre-op and recovery team.

Responsibilities

Intra-operative documentation of the surgical procedure.

Ensures a smooth and safe transition at the time of surgery.

Dispenses sterile instruments, medications and monitors the operating room during surgery.

Handling specimens and cultures taken during the surgical procedure.

Ensures specimens are collected by the appropriate laboratory after the procedure.

Qualifications

Currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of employment

Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred

Excellent interpersonal and client care skills

Valid driver’s license

ACLS Certified
