    Type: Full Time Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm

    Location: Mayzo Operations Center in Walterboro, SC

We are a 37-year-old thriving private-label chemical distributor renowned for specialty chemical additive expertise and product innovation. We are seeking a Production and Distribution Specialist to join our vibrant and collaborative team at our Walterboro, SC Mayzo Operations Center.

    In this key individual contributor role, you will assist the company's operations of receiving, preparing, and shipping our products to our customers throughout North America and globally. This position is vital to achieving and maintaining our customer's expectations and by doing so will generate overall growth of the company. The successful candidate for this role needs to be flexible and able to work both in the distribution warehouse and on our production floor.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Receiving

    Unload inbound trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and any other conveyance necessary. Match inbound material to freight bills and annotate discrepancies.

    Shipping

    Pull inventory from specified warehouse locations and prepare for outbound shipping according to customer-specific expectations and general ISO policies/procedures.

    Load outbound shipments onto trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, etc.

    Production

    Perform light chemical production activities including, but not limited to, repackaging, relabeling, blending/mixing of chemicals according to instructions provided by the Production Manager

    Operate heavy machinery when necessary to perform required chemical production activities.

    Safety

    Zero safety violations/infractions

    Report all safety incidents and/or near misses.

    Must adhere to all prescribed safety instructions. Heavy machinery will be in use, so a safety mindset is required.

    Inventory

    All Mayzo employees are responsible for inventory accuracy.

    Other Duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.

    Minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing/production, preferred.

    Forklift certification

    Interpersonal communication skills.

    Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with various levels of personnel.

    Ability to lift 50 lbs.

    Attention to detail.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    Continually required to stand.

    Continually required to walk.

    Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.

    Continually required to lift/push/carry items of more than 50 pounds.

    Frequently work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals

    Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions

    Frequently work around loud noise (examples: production machinery and equipment)

    Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: Forklift, scissor lift.
