    What You Do

    Will drive continuous improvement initiatives centered around Stamping and Body Weld Shop equipment efficiency, reliability, material issues/improvements, process integrity, and vehicle quality.

    As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:

    • Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
    • Collaborate with international team members from Mazda and Toyota or, other customers
    • Support/initiate the development and execution of projects to improve Stamping and Body Weld KPI’s (Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Cost, People, Environment)
    • Support development and execution of annual plans aligned with company and department objectives
    • Introduce new stamping and welding line technology as required.
    • Understand the technical aspects of stamping and welding operations and continuously improve process control methods
    • Technical resource for Body Accuracy Team to develop processes and troubleshoot measurement systems (CMM, FARO, MetraSCAN, ATOS and ARGUS)
    • Lead training programs for Body Accuracy Team Members on measurement systems and data analysis
    • Analyze measurement data, work with Stamping & Weld Engineering, Production, Maintenance and Quality Engineering to drive Body Accuracy improvements
    • Leads development of new model measurement programs and schedules
    • Manage measurement, maintenance, and calibration schedules internally and externally
    • Coordinate and manage supplier/contractor activity to include job scope, expectations, safety, and schedules
    • Foster two-way communication at all levels to ensure real issues are known
    • Conduct all activities with safety as top priority
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by the department

    • Ability to work outside of typical business hours and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)

    What You Bring

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Plant level experience in maintenance manufacturing environment
    • Knowledge of computer related systems to support manufacturing (PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, CATIA, NX, XVL, ZEISS Quality Suite, etc.)
    • Hands-on experience in automotive technology or high-volume manufacturing
    • Advanced understanding of programming and troubleshooting CMM and FARO equipment
    • Advanced understanding of coordinate metrology reports
    • Project management or change point management experience
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products

    What Will Set You Apart

    • Associates Degree (or higher) in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience
    • 2+ years in automotive technology or high-volume manufacturing
