Job Description
· Investigate customer quality concerns and issue corrective actions in a timely manner to satisfy customer requirements.
· Issue RMA’s for the return of customer issues.
· Work closely with the Scheduling Manager as quality issues arise.
· Check micro results to ensure customer requirements are met and done right the first time.
· Work closely with Production, Research and Development, and Scheduling based on day-to-day operating functions and needs.
· Monitor Food Safety Practices and Procedures.
· Ensure that GMP practices are followed with all production personnel.
· Ensure that all QA Job functions are done with accuracy.
· Format COA’s for new products and update existing COA’s.
· Assist in the approval of Raw Material Samples based on Raw Material Approval Process.
· Co-Coordinator of HACCP.
· Serve as key contact for any food safety issues.
· Schedule 3rd party audits and review procedures for updating audits.
· Responsible for Employee Food Safety Meetings.
· Work with engineering staff when the need arises for changing packaging materials.
· Supervise the duties and activities of all Quality Assurance Technicians.
· Responsible for monitoring food safety.
· Manage the department providing necessary training, coaching to ensure that the Company maintains best practices and a highly trained and capable quality staff at both plants.
· Must be an SQF Practitioner.
· Must be HACCP certified.
· Assess and improve all aspects of the quality control program as needed within the Company.
· Learn and become an expert in all products and allergens related to those products.
· Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing plans; implementing production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
· Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
· Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system compliance and surveillance audits, investigating customer complaints’ collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs and manufacturing and training methods.
· Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions and re-validations.
· Update job knowledge by studying trends and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, maintain personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
· Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different request; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
· Manage the department providing necessary training, coaching to ensure that the Company maintains best practices and a highly trained and capable quality staff at both plants.
Assess and improve all aspects of the quality control program as needed within the Company
