    Job Description

    $22-$25/hr

    McCorvey Companies is in need of a Safety Coordinator/Technician and you will be responsible for facilitating Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) guidelines. Adhere and enforce to company and G.C. Site Specific rules and regulations. Ensure safe work environment to workers, properties and to prevent injuries and accidents.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topic for their work task
    • Prepare and conduct Weekly Safety Tool- Box Talks with construction projects.
    • Review and adhere to General Contractors Site Specific rules and procedures.
    • Walk construction sites and conduct Safety Audits on projects.
    • In-depth knowledge of OSHA standard rules and regulations.
    • Collaborate with Managers and Supervisors to monitor and identify Safety concerns when they arise.
    • Intervene with all unsafe acts and conditions with employees and convey information to managers.
    • Create a good and Safe working report with all workers and line management.
    • Excellent communication and advisory with all skill levels.
    • Conduct investigations, risk assessments when incidents and hazards are present.
    • Enforce preventative measures to eliminate risk hazards.
    • Identify hazardous risks and offer timely solutions to all.
    • Review daily work task documents of all employees and update (JHA) if task change.
    • Plan and implement company programs and policies when required by management.
    • Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine root cause.
    • Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees’ safety.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role.
    • Excellent knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
    • Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or best practices.
    • Experience with writing policies and procedures for HSE programs.
    • Familiarize with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
    • Working knowledge of safety management information system.
    • Proficient in MS Office/ Word/ Excel/ Power point/Teams.
    • OSHA 500 in Construction.
    • OSHA 510 or Equivalent construction experience.
    • Fall Protection Certificate.
    • Confine Space Certificate.
