McCray's Tavern is seeking a part-time accountant to oversee several aspects of our accounting; tasks include accounts payable, accounts receivable, re venue management, cost and inventory management, data entry and booking entries. This individual must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Job Duties:
Reconciling bank accounts, posting journal entries and balancing general and subsidiary ledgers
Preparation of financial statements including Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, and Cost of Goods Sold Analysis
Balance sheet reconciliations
Financials statement analysis
Cash flow forecasting and management
Sales & Use tax filings
Financial statements audits and reviews
Perform other accounting functions as directed by senior management
Prepares and maintains accounts payable records and reports.
Manages vendor payments and files.
Assisting in maintaining our invoice management system across multiple locations
Resolves accounts payable issues among internal departments as well as outside agencies.
Verifies accuracy of checks to invoices, corresponding purchase orders and receiving documentation.
Responds to vendors regarding payments or invoices.
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Compose analyses for income statements for management reporting
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
Help with the evaluation of internal controls
Interface with managers and their staff, responding to questions and concerns and providing guidance, education and training
Engage with staff members across various departments
Collect and prepare period-end data
Providing general administrative support as needed.
Various other tasks as requested or assigned.
Job Requirements:
Associates Accounting Related Degree Required - Bachelor's Degree Preferred
2 Years of Restaurant Bookkeeping Required
4 Years of Bookkeeping or Accounting Required
Must have references.
