    ** Overview:**

    We are seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our team at our Danvers Global HQ location. The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative products that will continue to grow McCue’s business. This position will play a key role in the McCue product development team and will require a self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented team member.

    ** Key Responsibilities:**

    • Develop, innovate, and test new products with leading functionality, compelling value, and strong aesthetics.
    • Continually improve existing products, create line extensions, and design for custom applications to increase value by reducing production costs and increasing functionality.
    • Serve as an engineering resource to our customers and our sales and operations teams for all new and existing products.
    • Ensure quality and consistency of products by creating detailed drawings, specifications, and engineering change notices.
    • Build and test prototypes for product evaluation and to determine if designs are sound before investing tooling dollars.
    • Assemble, install, and modify prototypes when needed to further engineer designs.
    • Partner with suppliers to deliver ready-for-manufacturing designs on time and within budget.
    • Draft engineering drawings for production and consumer documentation (i.e. installation, catalog line art).
    • Manage projects in an effective and timely manner.
    • Travel to customer calls and supplier meetings as a technical engineer to support new product development.

    ** Knowledge & Experience:**

    • BS Degree in Mechanical engineering, Industrial design, or similar
    • Proficient in Solidworks and Solidworks Visualize (or other 3D rendering programs)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Knowledge of metal and polymer manufacturing processes
    • Ability to be a contributing member of a highly dynamic and creative design team
    • Experienced in creating technical drawings and best drafting practices.
    • Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrate ideation/conceptual thinking.
    • Strong problem-solving ability.
