Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Project Manager to be a part the Agency One TwentyThree Account Management team, working in close collaboration with department colleagues in Creative, Production and Operations, as well as our internal clients, colleagues and external suppliers/partners.
ABOUT THE JOB
Agency One TwentyThree is an in-house agency that develops sound strategies and compelling campaigns in support of a wide variety of internal initiatives on behalf of McDonald’s Corporation. In this fast-paced position, you’ll be responsible to guide project teams to successfully execute creative communications, live meetings and events, design graphics, video production, photography and digital engagements. Project Managers support Account Leads in project discovery and definition, identifying and assembling project teams and resources, and facilitating the successful development and delivery of projects. This includes building project timelines and budgets, and actively monitoring and facilitating the delivery of work on time, on budget and on strategy.
ABOUT YOU
You have a positive, can-do attitude and a hunger to collaborate with and learn from an experienced team of professionals. You are extremely organized and detail-oriented, a natural multi-tasker who works well with a variety of personalities. You also work well under the pressure of tight deadlines. You’re flexible and can switch gears easily, without getting flustered. You adhere to project processes, while being innovative enough to deviate from the norm if there’s a better way to do something that will advance the project without compromising the project team.
You have a customer-first mindset and you understand that clear, concise, timely communication is essential to instill trust in clients and strengthen client relationships. You know that clients look to Agency One TwentyThree (including you) for guidance and counsel, not simply to take the order. As such, you are solutions-oriented—a creative problem solver who keeps an open mind while searching for the best ideas. You challenge prevailing assumptions and suggest alternative approaches. And, you can walk clients through your thought process to help them understand so you can secure their buy-in.
You recognize that working cooperatively as part of a team is essential to the success of every project. Strong communication skills are a big part of what makes you good at what you do. While being an effective communicator requires strong verbal skills, you are equally adept at listening first—clarifying and confirming your understanding of what other people say before reacting or responding with an alternate view. You think strategically, articulating the best steps to take and why. And, you voice your ideas and recommendations with confidence.
You also know that a big part of managing projects is managing expectations. The people with whom you work are dependent on you and the direction you provide to do their best work. They rely on you, as their Project Manager, for timely, accurate information. That’s why you focus equally on both the end goal and the optimal way to get there—applying your critical thinking skills to ensure that everyone’s efforts come together to deliver outstanding results that not only meet client expectations but exceed them.
Successful Project Managers within Agency One TwentyThree are those who are empowered, empathetic and energetic. They are learners, thinkers, teachers and facilitators. They are skilled navigators who guide projects from objectives, ideas and approaches to plans, resources and outcomes. They maintain a balance between strategies and solutions, enabling project teams to perform at peak while mitigating challenges that inevitably arise as part of the creative development process—getting work out the door on time, on budget, and to the delight of our clients.
