    Job Description

    The McDonald’s Corporate Controller Group’s Financial Accounting and Reporting group currently has an excellent opportunity for a Manager to lead our team. This position offers a tremendous opportunity for an individual to gain an understanding of McDonald’s Corporation, the global business, financial statements, consolidation accounting, internal and external reporting and more. This position allows a candidate to gain visibility with Leadership at McDonald’s and learn the intricacies of how McDonald’s compiles, analyzes and ultimately reports on key financial results.

    Organizational Culture:

    Collaborative, team-oriented culture with expectations of individual building strong relationships with our key customers. Our key customers include the market controllers and staff, Investor Relations, Corporate Controller Group leadership and Top Management. This position calls for an individual who is results-driven with strong organizational skills that can manage multiple priorities to meet tight reporting deadlines. Our environment is fast-paced and going through change, requiring the candidate to be able to help drive efficiencies.

    Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

    • Manage of a team of accounting and finance professionals
    • Analysis and reporting of monthly financial information for actual and projected results.
    • Review and present on critical standard monthly/quarterly reports for use by Top Management
    • Ownership of various SEC reporting functions, including drafting the quarterly earnings release and managing the preparation of the annual/quarterly SEC filings along with their associated supporting schedules
    • Coordination and review of materials for key Executive meetings, including the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team
    • Collaboration with various stakeholders across global markets, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, Legal, internal and external auditors, etc.
    • Assist in the analysis and compilation of various ad hoc financial requests from management and key customers
    • Research and provide conclusions as to the appropriate treatment of various financial reporting matters
    • Proactively identify and implement efficiencies within financial processes.
    • Provide fiduciary leadership and promote strong internal control compliance
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
    • CPA preferred
    • 4+ years of experience in the accounting industry and/or in financial services, big 4 public experience preferred
    • Outstanding analytical abilities and communication skills
    • Results-driven individual
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in team
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Strategic problem solver
    • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage both upward and downward and build positive rapport quickly
    • Ability to concisely and effectively communicate, particularly with Executive stakeholders
    • Initiative and creativity in finding efficiencies
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to quickly learn other software applications necessary to complete daily tasks
